GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Let us pause to pray to our Heavenly Father in thanksgiving for granting us this Great Nation. Let us not forget the sacrifices that have been made by the men and women of the Armed Forces, past and present, in the formation and maintenance of this God-given land.
We have added a new web page to our website for Brothers and Sisters in Christ who have expressed a need for prayer for their individual needs. Click on "

A big "Thank You" from Father Wade
As everyone knows, St. Mary Star of the Sea hosted its annual Parish Fall festival on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at St. Mary's Parish Center. Father Wade would like to take this opportunity to thank all his parishioners who volunteered their time to help make this fesitval a success. No matter how big or how small a job assignment, without everyone's participation the festival could not achieve its success.
Father Wade would like to extend the Parish's thanks to all the businesses that unselfishly provided donations to help make the festival possible. Such wonderful generosity is indicative of the city of Ballinger coming together for a worthy cause; to help support the Ballinger Community Pantry which helps those less fortunate in our community.
But even before the start of the festival, St. Mary Star of the Sea began its praise and thanksgiving to God the Father for a successful festival with the celebration of the Eucharist. St. Mary Star of the Sea was honored with the presence of the Most Reverend Bishop Michael Sis of the San Angelo Diocese, who celebrated the Mass and blessed the festival. After the completion of the Service, Father Wade thanked Bishop Sis for his active role in the celebration. Father Wade then presented Bishop Sis with an apron brought back from Alaska. Bishop Sis modeled the apron which started an impromtu auctioning of the apron for the benefit of the festival. Parishioner Mike Kozelsky provided the highest bid and graciously gifted Bishop Sis with the same apron.
Bishop Sis, donned in his new apron, later assisted with the serving of meals to visitors who came to support the festival.
